Coach Riffell Takes Pie in the Face for Reading!

Mr. Riffell, P. E. Teacher and Coach at the Pineville Elementary / Jr. High School, showed he would take a pie in the face! During the Scholastic Book Fair students and teachers brought in spare change for the One For Books program exceeding the $150.00 goal that was set. The One For Books program allows the school to pull books from the book fair equal to the number of dollars raised. The books are then placed in the library or classroom. In addition to the school benefiting, Scholastic also contributes books to three charitable organizations matching the amount raised by the school.

     Squirrel learns Science
Mrs. Watson’s Science Class has a new class pet, just outside of her window. It is a squirrel. He is eating food Mrs. Watson has put outside. He has made himself a hollow nest in the tree for a place to sleep. Here is a picture of his new awesome home.
